The First And Earliest Pregnancy Symptoms

The earliest pregnancy symptoms a woman may feel when pregnant are different for every woman.

While some may experience no symptoms at all, others know from the very day they conceived because their body tells them something is going on inside it.

Signs you are pregnant, also known as earliest pregnancy symptoms, come in a variety of forms and amounts. Making sure you understand the symptoms is especially important because each can be found in other illnesses.

No More Monthly Period

Missing your monthly period or having a shorter or unusual period is usually the first sign that you might be pregnant. Because bleeding may occur when the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall, this can often be one of the earliest symptoms of pregnancy.

This happens between 6 and 12 days after conception and can cause women to experience cramping and spotting, which is often mistaken for a light menstrual period. More often than not, a late or missed monthly period is the first and earliest warning sign that a woman might be pregnant, and it causes her to reach for that pregnancy test. This is because you will miss your next period if you are pregnant.

Normally, women do not experience monthly bleeding during pregnancy, but if they do it is a lighter flow than usual.

Headaches And Frequent Urination

They are additional signs of early pregnancy. Headaches occur because of the sudden rise of hormones in your body, while frequent trips to the bathroom begin between six to eight weeks after conception, caused by the growing uterus and a pregnancy hormone called human chorionic gonadotrophin, or hCG, which triggers frequent urination.

For many women who are more in tune with their bodies, they will stress that they just knew, because they just “felt” pregnant.

Feeling Nauseous and Vomiting

Often referred to as “morning sickness” even though it can occur at any time during the day or night, this is another early sign of pregnancy showing up between two to eight weeks after conception.

Some women don’t have any nausea or morning sickness at all, while others are plagued with it throughout the duration of their pregnancy.

Certain foods like dairy, coffee, meat, perfume, smoke, and smells as common as household odors are enough to trigger a woman’s stomach to turn during early pregnancy.

Food aversions

They can be caused by the nausea, which in turn can diminish a woman’s sexual appetite. Thoughts of pregnancy and cravings seem to go hand in hand, such as the common pictured painted of a pregnant woman eating ice cream and pickles. However, while most women won’t crave pickles and ice cream exactly, studies have shown that nearly 70% of women will experience cravings at some time during her pregnancy.

Sore or Enlarged Breast

With changes in the libido, they are 2 additional earliest signs of pregnancy. Because the body undergoes so many changes during pregnancy, it isn’t uncommon for all of the physical changes to transfer over to your sexuality.

Your breasts may be increasingly sensitive or tender, which is also a sign that a woman will soon have her period, causing it to go unnoticed more often than not. Your nipples also become larger and darker during pregnancy, another sign that you are forming a new life inside your body.

The reason breasts can become tender, swollen, and sore during early pregnancy is because of the changes happening to prepare for breastfeeding. Increased production of progesterone and estrogen (two hormones) can make breasts and nipples especially painful during a first pregnancy.

Mood changes or emotional changes

It may occur during the first trimester of pregnancy. Some women find that they cannot control tearful outbursts that seem to happen for no reason. Widely knownn, this sign is one of the many earliest pregnancy symptoms.

These emotional changes are also due to the hormonal fluctuations happening during pregnancy.
